Q: What are the definitions and general limits of X waves?
What is X wave? An X wave is any corrective wave pattern that joins two or more but not more than three corrective wave patterns.
X-wave general limits
In double/triple zigzags, wave X cannot go beyond the start of W. The second X wave never retraces beyond the start of Y, and wave X produces a retrace between .382 and .786 depending on the type. of X wave pattern
Double/triple zigzags
In double zigzags the x wave can be any modified pattern and cannot go beyond the start of the W.
In triple zigzags, the first x wave can be any modified pattern except the triangle. and cannot go beyond the beginning of the W. The second X wave can be any modified pattern. but will not reverse beyond the beginning of Y.
Double/triple three combinations,
In double/triple three combinations, X waves reverse most or all W waves and most or all Y waves. The first x wave can be any corrective pattern except triangles. The second wave X can be any modified pattern. and can be reversed after the beginning of Y
In double three combinations, wave X will retrace most or all of W wave. The first x wave can be any corrective pattern.
In triple three combinations, wave X will retrace most or all of W waves and most or all of Y waves. The first x wave can be any correction pattern except triangles. The second wave X can be any modified pattern. and can be reversed after the beginning of Y
